Hello, my name is Abir. I’m a certified tour guide in Morocco based in the Northern part Tangier. I’ve been certified since 2018 but my passion grew for tourism way before that since I was a child as I grew up in a family that dedicated its life to tourism. After graduating high school, I’ve chosen to go to college and finish my studies in English studies and Literature but along-way my studies I’ve also learnt other languages such as French, Spanish and Dutch. Being a female tour guide for me goes beyond having a certificate from the ministry of tourism that allows me to accompany visitors and travelers, it is a passion that grew in me since I was child, it is empowering travelers to break barriers and give them an opportunity to live the full Moroccan experience, to see it through the eye of a local Moroccan woman, to experience the country’s beauty, flavors, and culture, as well as to be an example for other women in my community especially the artisans to pursue their dreams by creating employment opportunities so they can embrace their independence.
