Chefchaouen’s & Tetouan full day trip:
What to expect on the tour:
-Walking tour of Chefchaouen city which is known by the name of the blue city, enjoy the magical colored in blue alleys which were first painted with this color by the Sephardic jews considered a spiritual color reminding people with heaven and god, the city and its kasbah (fortress) were built in the 15th.
-Visit the Kasbah Museum (optional).
-Stop at the Ota Hammam (the main square of the city) where the grand Mosque is, that was built by orders of the son of the founder of Chefchaouen Moulay Ali ibn Rashid al-Alami
-Visit the Ras El Ma waterfalls, east outside of old Medina of Chefchaouen, It is the main fountain of the city and its main reason of existence in the first place.
-Walk down to the exit of the old Medina of Chefchaouen to drive to Tetouan for about 1h and 30mim for drop off at tetouan for the tour.
-Walking tour of the old Medina of Tetouan which is known as the white dove, it was joined to the UNESCO world heritage in 1997 because of its ancient Medina, but not only the old Medina which is special about Tetouan but also the Spanish neighborhood as it was the capital of the Spanish protectorate during the 20th century, as well one of the oldest jewish neighborhoods in Morocco ‘Mellah’ as it was a destination for most exiled Sephardic jews and Moorish muslim as a result of the Catholic Reconquista in the 15th century.

Visit Place Outa el Hammam, the city’s lively main square dominated by the Grand Mosque—built by order of the son of Chefchaouen’s founder, Moulay Ali ibn Rashid al-Alami. Its rare octagonal minaret and green-tiled roof reflect deep Andalusian influence, a quiet testament to the city’s layered origins.
Walk east to Ras El Ma, Chefchaouen’s ancient spring and the very reason the city exists. Watch locals gather to fill jugs, wash herbs, and share news beside cascading waterfalls—a vivid snapshot of daily life unchanged for generations.
After a gentle descent through the medina’s gates, board your private vehicle for a picturesque 1h30 drive through the Rif foothills to Tetouan—passing olive groves, villages, and panoramic views along the way.
The walking is gentle and adaptable—mostly flat, stone-paved paths in both medinas. We take frequent breaks, and the pace is always adjusted to your comfort. Seniors and families with teens join regularly. (Note: Ras El Ma involves a short 10-min uphill walk—optional.)
Yes—entry is optional (≈20 MAD, paid on-site). While the museum’s ethnographic collection is rich, many guests prefer spending more time exploring the living medina and artisan quarters. Your guide will help you decide based on your interests.
